Civil Aviation Delegation of China Visits Belgium
From March 27 to 30, a delegation led by Ma Bing, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, visited Belgium. In Brussels, the CAAC delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) on topics including wide-area information management, air traffic flow management, and trajectory-based operations, and visited the Network Operation Centre. Both sides agreed that with the growth in flight volumes, ensuring sustainable and safe aviation operations is a common challenge faced by China and Europe. They expressed the willingness to strengthen communication and cooperation, particularly in automated systems and digital solutions, to provide better services for the aviation industries of both sides.
The delegation also visited Liège Airport and Ostend-Bruges International Airport to gain insights into China-Europe air cargo development and aviation logistics infrastructure. The visit aimed to enhance and improve air logistics cooperation between China and Europe so as to create more enabling conditions for bilateral economic and trade exchanges. Additionally, the delegation had work discussions with the Chinese Embassy in Belgium.
