18.24 Million Passengers Transported during the Spring Festival Holiday of 2025
During the Spring Festival holiday of 2025 (January 28 to February 4), the civil aviation operation remained safe, stable and orderly, with a total of 18.24 million passengers transported, a daily average of 2.28 million, and an increase of 2.9% over that of the 2024 Spring Festival holiday (February 9 to 16, 2024). In particular, on February 3 (the sixth day of the Lunar New Year), civil air transport carried 2.48 million passengers, representing a record high.
During the Spring Festival holiday of 2025, all civil aviation entities earnestly acted upon relevant requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on the 2025 Spring Festival travel rush, strictly safeguarded the bottom line of safety, optimized the allocation of transport capacity, improved service quality, and made strenuous efforts to ensure that air transport is safe and convenient and passengers have good travel experience. A total of 145,000 flights were supported nationwide, with an average of 18,083 flights per day. The flight regularity rate stood at 96%, 3.4 percentage points higher than that of the 2024 Spring Festival holiday.
